Chad grew up in Griffin and is a member of the Class of 1997 from Griffin High School. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor in Landscape Architecture, Georgia State University with a Masters in Business Administration and Lincoln Memorial University with an Educational Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction. 

Chad started his career in education at Spalding High School (SHS) where he taught Construction and served as the Department Chair for Career & Technical Education (CTE) for the school. After 6 years at SHS, Chad was chosen to be the Program Specialist for the Construction and Architecture, Communications and Transportation clusters for the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE).

During Chad’s time at the GaDOE he worked with hundreds of CTAE programs throughout the state for the Career & Technical Education areas he covered in areas of curriculum, workforce development, facility design and other supports. He was also selected to serve on Governor Deal's High Demand Career Initiative Task force for the Construction, Manufacturing, Film and Distribution & Logistics occupational sectors where a number initiatives were created in Career & Technical Education. Through many of these initiatives he was able to connect education to the world of Business & Industry (B&I) with collaboration with groups such as the Atlanta Electrical Contractors Association, Cleveland Electric, BMW, Georgia Film Academy and many more.

After his time at the GaDOE, Chad decided to come back to the Griffin-Spalding County School District to support CTE in the district as the CTE Coordinator and the GRCCA as Assistant Director. Today, he serves as the CEO/Principal of the GRCCA. Chad has spent the majority of his career in the Griffin-Spalding County School System and has a passion for Career & Technical Education and Workforce Development. He is a graduate of the 2017 Georgia Academy for Economic Development, Region 2, and 2018 New CTE Director Academy by the GaDOE.
